WUVSlp 103.7 the Beat: 11th Annual Turkey Giveaway

MUSKEGON, MI – November 18, 2012 – 103.7 the Beat is excited to announce our Annual Turkey Giveaway. This year marks the 11th year of the FREE Turkey Giveaway. With the Thanksgiving holiday approaching, the season of charitable giving is filling the hearts of those who are able to help those who are less fortunate. On Tuesday, November 20, 2012 West Michigan Community Help Network/103.7 the Beat in collaboration with Project Homeless Connect will give turkeys, can goods, personal supplies and more to Muskegon families in need. The giveaway will take place in the parking lot of the Mayes and Wright Media Center; 1877 Peck Street in Muskegon (across from Marsh Field) at 12:00pm.

For this year’s annual event there will also be hot beverages provided, local service provider access such as Every Woman’s Place and Safe Kids of West Michigan, to provide information and education along with free goodie bags containing community resource information and personal supplies.

With the help of very generous supporters including Meijer, Plumbs Valu-Rite, Scott Meats, DTE, Tyler Sales, Stan Tyler Foundation, Pepsi, Attorney Shawn Davis, Fancy Yancy’s Salon, Muskegon Tribune Newspaper, WayPoint Academy, Homeless Connect, David Glover, Prince Hall Knights Templar Grand Commandery -Right Eminent Commander Ray Williams, King David Lodge #20 Free and Accepted Masons- Worshipful Master James Carey, St.Paul Commandery #10 Prince Hall Affiliated Knights Templar, Sanford Mckinney #10 Royal Arch Masons Prince Hall Affiliated, Crystal Chapter #34 Order of Eastern Stars Prince Hall Affiliated-Evyette Foster, El- Karnek #86 Shriners Prince Hall Affiliated Ancient Arabic Order of the Mystic Shrine – Potante Michael Weaver, Corinthians Baptist Church, Unleashed Rydas and West Michigan Therapy Inc. we will be able to hand out over 200 turkeys and trimmings.

Turkeys will first be handed out to winners of the 103.7 the Beat Turkey Giveaway. Additional turkeys will be handed out on a first come, first serve basis. No registration required. Only one turkey per household will be provided.
