A Baldwin, Michigan couple have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of 34 year old Muskegon resident Allan Saber Wicks in what investigators believe was a drug related homicide. A 20 year old man and his 17 year old girlfriend were lodged in the Muskegon County Jail this evening following the round-the-clock investigation by Muskegon detectives, the Muskegon County Prosecutor’s Office, Lake County Sheriff’s Department, the Michigan State Police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
Muskegon Police were called to a house in the 1800 block of Franklin Street at 7:00pm on Wednesday evening after friends found Wicks dead in the living room. At an autopsy performed this morning, medical examiners in Lansing confirmed that Wicks died from a gunshot wound to the head. A quantity of illegal drugs was found on the scene and the information obtained by investigators points to drugs being the motive for the shooting.
The investigation is continuing and will be submitted to the Muskegon County Prosecutor for charges.
