SEVERAL BRIEF ELECTRIC INTERRUPTIONS SCHEDULED

MUSKEGON, Mich., February 26, 2014 – Several brief scheduled electric interruptions are planned early Saturday morning, March 1 in portions of Fruitport Township, Muskegon Heights, Muskegon, Norton Shores and Roosevelt Park  affecting more than 9,500 Consumers Energy customers.

The three interruptions, expected to last less than 15 minutes each, are scheduled at 4 a.m., 5 a.m. and 5:15 a.m. to safely make repairs to electric distribution equipment servicing the area. Consumers Energy has mailed postcards to the affected customers informing them of these scheduled interruptions:

·         From 4 to 4:15 a.m., the area affected is generally along Airline Road bordered to the north by Lincoln Avenue in Muskegon Heights and to the south by East Sternberg Road in Fruitport Township, involving 2,993 customers;

·         From 5 to 5:15 a.m. the area affected is generally along and several blocks east and west of Henry Street, bordered to the north by Post Road in Roosevelt Park and to the south by Forest Park Road in Norton Shores, involving 4,676 customers;

·         From 5:15 to 5:30 a.m. the area affected is generally along and several blocks east and west of Henry Street, bordered to the north by Young Avenue in Muskegon and to the south by Post Road in Roosevelt Park, involving 1,862 customers.

Consumers Energy, Michigan’s largest utility, is the principal subsidiary of CMS Energy (NYSE: CMS), providing natural gas and electricity to 6.5 million of the state’s 10 million residents in all 68 Lower Peninsula counties.
