Keisha is the sister of Julius Johnson and spoke about her brother and the incidents following the shooting.
It is alleged that Julius Johnson was unarmed when he was gunned by a Muskegon Police Department Officer. It was reported that the officer sustained injuries to his head & was released from the Hospital shortly after the incident.

“Police brutality can be associated with racial profiling. Differences in race, religion, politics, or socioeconomic status sometimes exist between police and the citizenry. Some police officers may view the population (or a particular subset thereof) as generally deserving punishment. Portions of the population may perceive the police to be oppressors. In addition, there is a perception that victims of police brutality often belong to relatively powerless groups, such as minorities, the young, and the poor.” source wikipedia.org

  • Rick

The officer has been found not guilty, a tape of the actual incident was recorded and Keisha Phillips is being charged with a felony.

Looking forward to the beat hosting her public apology to the officer, family and community for making up such a story! It is unfortunate that there are still people like this spreading the hate!

    So much hate!

  • Hey, I love your site. It seems most people don’t really bother writing articles that lack substance nowadays.

You are right, I also can not wait for the details to come out. It is too bad JuJu had to loose his life but that does not make the officer at fault for defending his own life.

  • There is obviously a lot to know about this. There are some good points here.
