On December 8th a motorist was shot while driving on Park St on Tuesday afternoon.
Witnesses said shots were fired first on Maplewood Ave near Norton Ave continuing on to Park St where the victim, now identified as 25 year old Gregory Roberson, crashed through a shed and into a tree.
Roberson was transported to Mercy Hospital in serious condition, Muskegon Heights police are still investigating the shooting.
The day prior, on December 7th at 4:30 pm, there was another shooting near Hoyt St and Sherman Boulevard. Police Chief Lynn Gill said that the shooting was retaliation for a fight between high school students at one of Muskegon Heights Public Schools.
The person of interest is a 15 year old male who showed up at the victim’s house with several other individuals. The victim was fired upon with what is believed to be a flare gun, which caused a large laceration on the victim’s upper lip.
