Lansing’s Granger Construction, as of Feb 25th, was presented with the 2015 build Michigan Award for its construction management of Muskegon County’s new jail and juvenile transitional facility. They increased the number of beds from 370 to 500, although they are in no hurry to fill them.

It is the 8th straight year that Granger Construction was given this award. Granger Construction used state of the art tech to arrange video visitation and arraignment systems.

In total, the endeavor costed $45 million, Muskegon County carried $6 million into it and are going to start making payments on the remaining $39 million in 2017.
