Update: Homicide in Muskegon, reward offered !


Update:

​Muskegon County Silent Observer has authorized a $1000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for this incident.

​We are still asking anyone with information on this incident to call the Muskegon Police Department through Muskegon Central Dispatch at 911 or 231-722-3524. You can also call Silent Observer at 231-722-7463

From the City of Muskegon Police Department:

​The suspicious death reported in the 1800 block of Franklin Street in the City of Muskegon last night has been confirmed as a homicide.

​At approximately 7:00pm last night, officers were called to a scene where 34 year old Muskegon resident Allen Saber Wicks was found dead in his apartment.

​At an autopsy performed this morning, medical examiners in Lansing confirmed that Wicks died from a gunshot wound to the head. There is no indication that the wound was self-inflicted and detectives working the case are continuing to pursue all leads in the investigation.

​The Michigan State Police and the Muskegon County Prosecutor’s Office were called upon to assist in the investigation.
