Deteriorating Road Conditions/Request for Motorists to Avoid Area



Muskegon – Blowing and drifting sand due to high winds have created hazardous road conditions in the Beach St and Lakeshore Dr areas of Muskegon.

Motorists travelling toward Pere Marquette Park are encountering large drifts of sand, which have trapped vehicles and made travel conditions unsafe.  The Muskegon Police Department is requesting that motorists avoid the area of Beach St and Lakeshore Dr.  Road crews are attempting to clear the roadways.

In addition, Beach Street from Beachwood Park to Lakeshore Drive continues to be closed until Friday.
