Free trip to Africa for Honor Roll Students

One of the greatest footballers of all time, Lionel Messi, once said, “A child’s smile is worth more than all the money in the world.”

The above statement is very true, which is why we do great things that not only make kids happy but also develop their cultural intelligence. One way we do this is by taking children to Africa to experience the cultures there.

Kwame Nkrumah National Park

Last year, with the help of the community, we took seven children from the community free of charge. We paid for vaccinations, passports, airline tickets, food, and lodging.  There was absolutely no cost to their families. Upon of arrival to Africa, we were greeted by several of the countries natives and began our exploration of the country.

Recap of our 2018 visit to Ghana.

The children had the opportunity to visit a traditional African village, in which they mingled, talked, and taught African children about America, as well as learned more about traditional African culture. They had the chance to experience various cultural cuisines, languages, beaches, and toured the slave castle. To close out the end of our 7 day trip, the children went through a renaming ceremony and were given Ghanaian names.

We are the 1st and only radio station in this community to achieve this accomplishment, and with your help we can make it happen again. One way you can help us do it again is by donation. There is a saying that you should not ever underestimate the impact that you may have on someone else’s life. You can make a massive impact in the lives of these kids by your donation.
